A different “cutesy” picture with a similar statement was promoted a few months ago.
Teachers mentally and emotionally need (and deserve) breaks in order to do their job well (especially considering the number of hours we work outside of contract hours which we do not get paid for).
However, time off should not be in the top priorities when considering such a demanding career.  Statements like this belittle what I do.
If I knew how to post gifs on picture posts I’d post several annoyed ones here.

I think teacher crafts/gifts like this are insulting.


Definitely insulting. I’d like to spend my summers “off” catching up on YA lit to recommend to students, preparing new materials, and recharging my batteries. It’s not just 2 months of running around willy-nilly.
